SUMMARY:IIPC Workshop Series: Collections, Curation and Patching with Browsertrix Cloud
DESCRIPTION:While crawling is a core focus of Browsertrix, the tool is built to support additional aspects of the web archiving lifecycle, including patching and curation. In this workshop, we’ll go over some examples of supplementing automated crawls with content archive through ArchiveWeb.page and and explore Browsertrix’s curation features, combining multiple crawls and uploaded content. We’ll also answer any questions and discuss upcoming features.\nContact IIPC staff to receive a link to the registration page.\nhttps://netpreserve.org/projects/browser-based-crawling/ ( https://netpreserve.org/projects/browser-based-crawling/ )\nAbout the Co-Organizers:\nTessa Walsh (she/they) is a Senior Applications and Tools Developer at Webrecorder, where she works on a wide range of Webrecorder’s open source tools. Prior to joining Webrecorder she worked as a software developer at Artefactual Systems, and before that she established digital preservation programs at the Canadian Centre for Architecture and Concordia University Library as a digital archivist and digital preservation librarian, respectively. She holds an MSLIS from Simmons College.\nHenry Wilkinson is a UX designer and amateur web archivist with a background in computer graphics for film and television. In his spare time he makes music, maintains https://ysdn.info/, a collection of archived design school grad show websites, and contributes to mapping Toronto on OpenStreetMap.\n
