The Bodleian Libraries made its first capture of web content in 2005, and since 2011 has been operating the Bodleian Libraries’ Web Archive (BLWA), a small-scale web-archiving program utilizing the Archive-It platform which harvests and re-publishes websites relevant to the Bodleian Libraries’ wider collecting. BLWA has a particular focus on the online footprint of the collegiate university, as well as web content which falls within the scope of our collections development policy for archives and special collections, including content from outside the UK. Publicly accessible materials are available via Archive-It.
As one of the six UK legal deposit libraries, the Bodleian Libraries is also a partner in the UK Web Archive.
