Archiving social media: study day and practical workshops

KADOC-KU Leuven, Documentation and Research Centre on Religion, Culture and Society and meemoo, the Flemish Institute for Archives, are organizing a study day focused on archiving social media. The event will include an introduction to the IIPC and will report back on the project “Best practices for the archiving of social media in Flanders and Brussels.” This collaborative effort between Meemoo and KADOC-KU Leuven aimed to investigate how social media content can be effectively captured, archived, and preserved for the future.

Introduction to the IIPC will be presented by Friedel Geeraert, Expert in web archiving at KBR, The Royal Library of Belgium and Sophie Ham, Coordinator of web archives at KB, The National Library of the Netherlands.
