IIPC RSS Webinar: How to dig into the history of a nation’s web? The development of the Danish web 2006-2015

IIPC Research Speaker Series (RSS) focuses on the research use of web archives and features presentations of use cases, collaborative projects and new tools for researchers. In this webinar Niels Brügger will introduce a study of an entire national web domain and its historical development, with the Danish web 2006-2015 as a case. The study is based on the holdings of the Danish national web archive Netarkivet, and the main focus of the presentation will be on how this collection was unlocked to form an object of study. Main points will be a presentation of the analytical design and overall workflow that was developed, from research question, extraction, data cleaning and corpus creation to analyses and long term preservation. Finally, some of the results and next steps will briefly be presented.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
