IIPC RSS Webinar: LinkGate Launch
IIPC Research Speaker Series (RSS) focuses on the research use of web archives and features presentations of use cases, collaborative projects and new tools for researchers. This webinar is a formal launch of LinkGate, a visualisation tool for web archives which can be viewed at https://linkgate.bibalex.org. LinkGate is an IIPC funded project led by Bibliotheca Alexandrina in partnership with the National Library of New Zealand.
During the webinar Youssef Eldakar, Mohammed Elfarargy, Mohamed Elsayed, Amr Morad, and Amr Rizq (Bibliotheca Alexandrina) will do live demos of each of the LinkGate’s three components (link-serv – versioned graph data service, link-indexer – linked data collection tool and link-viz – web frontend for temporal graph rendering and exploration) and discuss new developments, including UI improvements in link-viz and implemented “time elasticity” in link-serv to allow graph queries, given a threshold, to additionally return data before and after the target timestamp for the visualization in link-viz to have better context.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session chaired by Ben O’Brien.
